We should all do more to grow closer to Jesus. Below are resources found and will continue to add to our website.
"Answering the Questions of Jesus" by Fr. Andrew Apostoli, CFR
Sometimes Jesus used questions to quiz His followers about the Truth. He asked His Apostles "Who do you say that I am?" (Matthew 16:15). Sometimes His questions were expressions of frustration, such as when He asked Peter, James and John in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Could you not watch with me one hour?" (Matthew 26:40)......What all these questions have in common is that we can still learn from them today. Looking at His questions is a wonderful way of entering into the Gospel stories.
"JESUS AND THE JEWISH ROOTS OF THE EUCHARIST" by Brant Pitre
Pitre explores ancient Jewish beliefs about the Passover of the Messiah, the miraculous manna from heaven, and the mysterious Bread of the Presence. As he shows these three keys - the Passover, the manna, and the Bread of the Presence - have the power to unlock the original meaning of the Eucharistic words of Jesus. Along the way Pitre also explains how Jesus united the Last Supper to his death on Good Friday and his Resurrection on Easter
